● Vanesa

Vanesa is a tango dancer from Buenos Aires , Argentina. She is fluent not only in Spanish but in English and Japanese. She studied the basics of classical ballet from an early age and spent her teenage years learning the fundamentals of Argentine tango dancing, including the traditional waltz. She was selected to be a cast member of the highly acclaimed tango musical “Forever Tango” on Broadway (2011-2012). She was involved as a main cast member in a show produced by Audi in Germany, which was well received.
 

● Facundo

Facundo is a tango dancer who has studied tango, waltz, folklore, and flamenco as well as show dancing since his childhood. He has performed in Argentina in the traditional tango show “Madero de Tango Complejo Tango” and others. He has performed and directed many shows as an Argentine tango dancer in Italy, Istanbul, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Argentine and Japan.

They started their career as a pair in 2007. They participated in the World Championships in Buenos Aires from 2009 to 2012.
They were finalists in both the salon and stage categories for four consecutive years.
For two years, from 2010, they were regular dancers in the “Rojo Tango” tangueria at the famous Hotel Faena in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
They have performed not only in Japan but also in Korea, Indonesia, Europe, Russia, and Latin America.
Since 2015, they have been based in Tokyo again, opening Tango Salon Buenos Aires in Omotesando.
Recently, they have performed in musicals and concerts featuring former top stars of Takarazuka, and they are also active as choreographer.

● Lucia

Chilean Japanese.
She grew up in Santiago, the capital of Chile.
She was introduced to tango by her grandmother, who took her to milongas where she was exposed to the essence of tango.
After returning to Japan (1997-), she performed in many shows, including 10 years as an exclusive dancer with the Astorico Orchestra.
She has also been invited by many dancers in Tokyo as a coach, and has been appointed as a principal instructor at a training organization for aspiring professional dancers.
Since 2018, she has organized APTA (Argentine Tango Promotion Association) and has been active globally, especially in Asia.
She pairs up with Alejandro Quaglia and performs as LOS QUAGLIA at various events.

● Alejandro

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 2006, he won the third prize at the Argentine National Tango Contest.
In 2012, he established “Parados Tango Studio” in Akasaka, and has been active in Kyoto, Nagoya, Yokohama, and Tokyo. In addition to serving as a judge at the Argentine Tango Championships in Japan, he is also a popular demonstrator as “LOS QUAGLIA”.
He has been producing ABUELO NEGRO TANGO SHOES, a favorite of many professionals, since 2020.
Alejandro has a masculine and dandy style, and has many male fans because of his speedy and powerful footwork.

●Martin Choren

Born in Argentina.
In 2012, they won the first place in the salon division of the Asia Tango Championships.
In 2014, they also won the Stage Division of the Asian Tango Championships.
He has won both the salon and stage divisions of the Asian Tango Championships.
He has also organized the Tokyo Tango Marathon Festival since 2015.
He has been promoting tango in Japan through the ZITA Argentine Tango Studio, which invites world champions and other outstanding dancers from Argentina to Japan.
 

● Valeria Voldon

Born in Argentina.
She has performed in many tango shows in Buenos Aires, and in 2018, she and Martín will perform in Forever Tango, the best tango dance company in the world.
She is currently working with Martín to share her experience of performing with the world’s top dancers and furthering her studies with tango enthusiasts and aspiring professionals in Japan.

Finalists in the Salon and Stage categories at the 2014 Argentine Tango Dance World Championships, and finalists in the Salon category in 2015.
Winner in the Salon category at the 2016 Salate Dance Festival.
Runner-up in the Tango and Stage category at the 2017 Valpara Tango Festival (Valparaiso, Chile).
Finalist in the stage division at the Argentine Tango Dance World Championships that same year and finalist in the salon division in 2018.
Winner in the Esenario division at the 2020 Tango Champs World Championships.
Currently based in Tokyo.

He has performed at many milonga venues, including El cxuce in Buenos Aires. He moved to Japan in 2018. 2021 Winner of the Tango Asia Championships in the Esenario division. 2022 Indonesia Qualifying Stage Division Champion. 2022 Participated in the Argentinean version of El Cuche Tango Week in Korea by Vanesa Villalba and Facundo Piñero.
 

● Nadina Balaguer

Nadina Balaguer is a versatile dancer with experience teaching ballet, classical dance, and tap dance in addition to tango.
She is a member of Encuentro Nativo Caminito – Buenos Aires and Reviviendo Tango tango shows (2022).
Semifinalist in the Tango Pista World Championships in 2021 and 2023.

Organizers of the Singapore Tango Festival
“Gen & Lily” are the founders of Los Sueños and have been dancing tango together since 2008.
They are icons of the Singapore tango scene and teach tango throughout Asia.
They regularly hold classes, milongas, tango weekends, and the Singapore International Tango Festival.
Widely known throughout Asia, especially at milongas, they embody the grace and essence of tango and are most memorable for their flawless and engaging footwork.
Their passion has taken them to festivals and events around the world, where they have had the opportunity to learn and interact with esteemed maestros from around the world, receiving professional dance and instruction.
They were the first Singaporeans to be selected as finalists in the 2012, 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2022 “World Tango Championships” in Buenos Aires. They have also won several championships throughout Asia.
They have been invited to many tango events around the world and have performed at the famous Milonga Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Odysseus Dada started tango in 2004 and has judged the IDO Tango Championship(Korea) and the Metropolitan Tango Championship. Additionally, since 2011, he has performed at international tango festivals in Montreal, Ottawa, Dublin, Taipei, Shanghai, Bali, Jakarta, Manila, Hanoi, Tokyo, Seoul, and Jeju.
Odysseus Dada has also been a tango DJ since 2006, performing international tango festival in European, Asian cities such as Naples, Cuneo, Warsaw, Łódź, Brezg, Wrocław, Krakow, Vilnius, Istanbul, Cappadocia, Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Bali, Jakarta, Manila, and Boracay, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, Tokyo, and Nagoya.

● Vivian Yeh

Founder of Tango Bang, the first Tango School in Shanghai, has been teaching and organizing Argentina Tango class / workshop / performance since 2008 in Shanghai. She is also the founder of Shanghai International Tango festival since 2021, which is the first and biggest tango festival in China. She has been invited to perform the judge duty in China competition in the past 7 year.
She was the finalist in the competition of Metropolitano in Buenos Aires in 2013 and finalists in Mundial de Tango 2022. So far, it’s the highest ranking of China representative. She started Ballet since age 5, she’s been actively exploring popular dance formats. Vivian has a strong background in music which represent strong musicality and dynamics in her dance. As the principle timpanist with Taipei Philharmonic orchestra and Taiwan Wind Ensemles, she’s been tour in Europe / US / Asia since 2000.

Sumire and TAMAI started their activities as a tango couple in 2014.
They perform a number of highly theatrical performances that incorporate the unique essence of contemporary dance, and are carefully planned and directed.
They has gained a reputation for their fluid and expressive contemporary tango pieces, but in recent years dramatic improvisational performances have been praised.Their traditional milongero hugs with a young expression and stimulates many people.

Momoko Aida, violin

Born in Yokohama, Momoko Aida began playing the violin at the age of three.
After graduating from Toho Gakuen Hight School Course of Music, she entered to Toho Gakuen University Department of Musicology.
While a student, she became interested in Astor Piazzolla and Argentine tango, and began playing tango with bandoneon player Ryota Komatsu’s tango band, Ryota Komatsu & the Tangistes. After graduation, she worked as a solo violinist in Komatsu’s band for several years, performing at concerts in Japan and abroad. She then traveled frequently to Buenos Aires, the home of tango, for live performances with local musicians and to study at the Buenos Aires Municipal Tango Orchestra School for a short period of time.
In 2000, she started her own tango band, “Cuatrocientos”, and has been actively performing live and concerts, tango dance shows, and producing albums. She has been making a strong effort in writing and arranging Argentine tango music to explore the contemporary tango form after Piazzolla, created by Japanese.

Takatoki Suzuki

Born in Sapporo.
Studied bandoneon under Ryota Komatsu since 2001. In 2005, he joined Ryota Komatsu Orquesta Tipica as a member.
In 2005, he toured South America as a member of Ryota Komatsu’s Orquesta Tipica, performing in Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil. The performances were well received. In the same year, he went to Argentina by himself to study bandoneon under Osvaldo Montes. In the same year, as a member of Machiko Komatsu Tango Crystal, he participated in the International Tango Festival in San Luis Province, Argentina.
In 2007 and 2008, he studied in Argentina under Julio Panet and Nestor Marconi on bandoneon. In 2009, he participated in the World Tango Summit in Bariloche, Argentina as a member of 2 × 4 Tokio. He also participated in recitals at Bar Sur and Biblioteca Nacional. In 2010, as a member of Orquesta Aurora, he participated in a recording in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a performance at the Buenos Aires Tango Festival, and a performance in Montevideo, Uruguay. He received favorable reviews. He is currently active with Ryota Komatsu & Orquesta Tipica, Machiko Komatsu Tango Crystal, Orquesta Aurora, and others.

As a pianist, he is widely active in jazz, pops, tango, and Brazilian music.
In 2007, he participated in the Viana do Castelo International Music Festival.
In 2008, his performance with Rick Overton’s unit was featured in a BBC documentary on Haruki Murakami, and since 2008 he has participated in concert tours and recordings by Ryota Komatsu, a bandoneon player.
He has also worked with melodique, Naoki Kita Quartet, tango-jack, and other groups and sessions.
As a composer, he has produced and arranged albums for Bristol-based singer-songwriter üka, and has composed music for commercials, films, and theater. He was also a member of the executive committee of the Last Festival.
His film music credits include “Sentimental Yasko” (directed by Kei Horie, to be released in 2012), “Frog” (directed by Makoto Nagahisa), “Akanezasu Juroba” (directed by Kumiko Hoshizaki), “Bouquet Garni” (directed by Junpei Hatano), and in theater “Life is Showtime” (organized by TV Asahi, starring Kei Hoda as Rolly), ” Papa Tarahumara’s Snow White (Papa Tarahumara),” etc

Born in Tokyo in 1973.
Active in a wide range of fields, with a focus on jazz and Argentine tango. In 2014, he released an album “El retratador” with pianist Masaki Hayashi. In 2014, he released the album “El retratador” with pianist Masaki Hayashi, and in 2018, he released his solo album “Phenomenology”.
In 2021, he released the album “Hoshi wo kogu mono” with the group Remboato, which includes Kazuma Fujimoto (gt), Sumire Kuribayashi (pf), and Shinya Fukumori (dr). In his own leader project “YUUKEKIKI KOKU”, he is exploring a unique perspective on the relationship between space-time and music with Fumi Endo (pf) and Kanon Aoba (sax).
